CS, a 65 YO male African American patient was diagnosed with hypertension about 4 years ago. He was started on hydrochlorothiazide, and recommended to follow a diet and exercise routine. Initially he did well with just one medication, however, at his last two visits, his diastolic BP was at 90mm Hg. Also, laboratory data indicated that his LDL was elevated.
