“Improving Patient Care: A Literature Review for Enrolled Nurses”

• Identify at least ten professional sources • At least three different three different sources, ie journals, credible websites, professional magazines
• Referenced from more than 1 data base or journal
• All references MUST be in the last 5 years except if no newer literature is available
• Use APA to reference sources (including alphabetising refence list)
Establish an electronic file system for and save research based on topic heading. Take a series of screen shots
o Identify the method of research; qualitative or quantitative
o Identify the research type; eg journal articles
Results:
Outline the methods used to organise data and outline the methods used in the literature that has been reviewed, either PICO or PRISMA
Outline of the findings including the search methodology, data extraction, reporting of results, any bias found.
Key concepts from the literature are identified and discussed
Has used evidence from references to support their own argument or statements
Can use a table to support analysis and discussion of results from literature
Discussion:
Compares and contrasts different parts of the chosen literature using different sources of information (eg 2 different papers, or information from a website and literature)

This ties the paper together Should include:
• Recommendations for further research/evaluation based on two issues identified
• Document at least two changes in practice that may be recommendbcied supported by the literature
