You should try to identify if Chat GPT has gotten anything wrong, or if you think it has missed something important. The point of this is to get you to critically evaluate the papers, and also to critically evaluate chat GPT–it’ll show you what LLMs are good and bad at, at least as they are currently. So, you should only submit one of these on a given week if you are going to do them well! These should be about 200 words, and absolutely no more than 300. If you submit one of these that is longer than 300 words, I will give it a 0.
Here are some questions that should guide you in writing your response:
What (if anything) did Chat GPT get wrong? Do you think it’s right about the connection between the sci-fi story and the philosophy? If Chat GPT got everything right, is there an important objection or insight that you think GPT missed? If so, what is it? Did it get any of the reasoning wrong? If so, how?
These will be graded as follows:
5 points for correctly identifying what chat GPT gets right/wrong
15 points for correctly explaining why chat GPT is right/wrong (or for identifying an important objection or insight)
