You are hanging out for the weekend in the backyard and BBQing. You decide you want to eat a turkey burger. The burger is done, you put in on a whole wheat bun, add mayonnaise, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. Now you are ready to eat it. Write a paper describing the process of digestion of the burger and its ingredients, starting from the point of biting and chewing to elimination.

Make sure you include an introduction and conclusion in addition to discussing each part of the burger and how it gets digested at different parts of the body. Mention how the bread (starch), turkey (protein), mayonnaise & cheese (fat), and other components get digested in the mouth, stomach, small intestine, etc. For example: “As I bite the burger the salivary amylase starts breaking down the bread into smaller polysaccharides and the lingual lipase starts breaking down the fat from the turkey, cheese, and mayonnaise…” You can organize your paper by macronutrient (carb, protein, fat), or by organs (mouth, esophagus, etc.).
