I received a reprimand after sign out on 10/16 from a situation that happened on 9/10. And I want to turn in a rebuttal for it. Here’s some information I would like included in this rebuttal. I’ve also attached a document giving a format it for how to complete it
back story:
My name was not in the news letter for weapons qualifications.
I understand I was late for sign in, which was a mistake and unintentional, I take full responsibility for. When I got to weapons qualification the class hadn’t started and several other people from other units were late to the class.
Multiple people both officers and enlisted in my unit sign in late (past their mandatory time) on drill weekends but they don’t get reprimanded. Why isn’t this standard being held for everyone in the unit. Why are we picking and choosing who gets written up and who doesn’t.
This is unfair.
I feel that this LOR is in retaliation to a conversation I had with (said person) earlier that day (conversation: said person, “did you get your travel voucher done?” Me, “no I’m still in the process, I can’t send emails and I can’t print anything, Im waiting for someone to help me with it” said person seemed annoyed and frustrated with my answer) This shows an abuse of power. The reprimand was also given to me at the end of the drill weekend after I had signed out, which shows that it was in retaliation to something.
And Why are LORs being given out when I’m not on duty.
Also my supervisor spoke to me about this incident the month it happened, why am I getting reprimanded for it again by someone else (said person).
I feel that these people said person and my supervisor are after me for some reason.
I’ve devoted so much of my time into the branch and to be written up for something I was already talked to about and that everyone else is doing including officers but not getting written up for is ridiculous
If they want me to hold the standard they need to hold the stand by holding everyone else accountable when they’re late as well.
