The instructions asks about Hawthorne Effect which is found in Chapter 13 titled Industrial -Organizational Psychology heres the link to the book in which you can find Chapter 13 in https://openstax.org/details/books/psychology-2e To help right this paper and answer the questions the instructor is asking I would like to tell you I’m a Fire Fighter Paramedic who is currently taking this course among others for my prereqs to eventually apply for nursing school. The instructor asks what efficiency improvements could be made in my current employment . In my current job as a fire fighter paramedic we are dealing with a shortage of Paramedics, due to not enough medics in the city and the fire dept because we are short-handed in our city due to demand. We are losing medics to smaller nearby cities because does citys are able to give the medics a higher pay and smaller call volume compared to us. We are also losing numbers due to us not receiving a pay raise for over a decade and not having equal pay as the police officers. The city is also not able to put in enough volunteers who want to go to Paramedic school because of budget issues. The city needs to have more medic units on the streets, needs to give us the pay raise we deserve and so the city can compete with the nearby city and keep the medics we currently have. I’m currently in school to better myself, my family, and my community give myself a raise, and not depend on the fire department for a raise.
