Working environment set up
Set up your working environment prior to commencing producing your drawing. Make sure you adhere to WHS requirements by demonstrating that your workstation is set up ergonomically.

Sustainability
Outline one action that you can take at work to improve environmental sustainability.
CAD software
Open up the CAD software you are using and take a screen shot of the launch screen. Attach this to your Portfolio, including the title of the screenshot here.
Provide a brief summary here of:
▪ how files are saved within the software. ▪ templates that are used and what they are used for
▪ symbols, codes and standards to be applied.
Attach relevant screenshots to your Portfolio as relevant to the above information.
Navigating the software to complete your drawing task
You are to complete your drawing using the CAD software. In the section below you will provide your final drawing but, in this section, you are to demonstrate that you are able to navigate the CAD software to produce the drawing required.
Therefore, whilst you are completing your drawing, take screenshots to demonstrate that you can:
▪ manipulate drawing entities▪ modify dimension styles
▪ create and use layers
▪ manipulate the drawing origin
▪ use the required symbols identified in the step above
▪ use grids and/or grid snaps and object snaps
▪ change the scale up and down
▪ add a title block
▪ use ortho mode
▪ extract data, for example, to an excel spreadsheet.
▪ Create a bill of materials.
Note that your drawing may not involve all the above software functions/features, but you must demonstrate that you can used each.
Make sure that you summarise each function you use here in your Portfolio and reference the screenshot that shows this.
