Purpose
After completing the SAT-1 and 2, each student is expected to be able to retain the 5 key elements of leadership and to write a short reflection analysis (essay style) of the survey results to determine leadership styles and potential, preferred type of leadership.
Results and Analysis from M1-SAT-1: Leadership Potential
What is your leadership potential score? The higher the score, the greater one’s potential is to be an effective leader. However, the key to success is not only potential but persistence and hard work. Leadership potential can be developed by applying the principles and theories of the book to one’s professional and personal life.
Results and Analysis from M1-SAT-2: Managerial Leadership Skills
Instructions
If you have not done so already, please review the Module 0 page about SATs in this course.
You are to write a 1-2 page, double-spaced, reflection essay based on your scores/analysis in each of the self-assessment tests from this Module 1.
The responses for the self-assessment tests should be written to address “what?”, “so what?” and “now what?” to make it meaningful.
“What?” – what the test is about and what the score you received means (the results).
“So what?” – analyze the results of the SATs, what each of them means to you and why it is important to leadership skill development. What impacts could this information have on your desired career goals and/or objectives?
“Now what?” – knowing the importance of the assessed skills, are you headed in the right direction? Moving forward, how to improve/maintain the assessed skill set.
Make at least one assertion about the meaning(s) of each of the self-assessment tests to you (at least two assertions for this essay that has two tests) and support them with examples. Write a convincing case that presents a strong defense for each of your arguments.
Remember to use at least two (2) appropriate references (one reference MUST be our textbook) to support your work. The other reference is from external resources. Please follow the APA format in all writing in this course.
