Look at everything carefully. Think about: where that item came from, what it can tell you about
the past, what it can tell you about the person who made it, what can the item NOT tell you, how
can archaeology help you learn more about that item
 Pick an item that you are interested in to write your reflection
 Take a photo of the item. If you do not have a camera let me know and I can take one and email it
to you
 Copy down the information you need to properly cite the item
Your assignment should include:
 A photo of the item you have chosen
 A proper citation for your chosen item. If you are unsure how to cite it, watch the tutorials posted
to UMLearn
 A reflection on the item and how you think it can be helpful to an archaeological investigation of
Seven Oaks House. Be sure to also include possible limitations of what the item can tell you
 A minimum of three references from the reading list for this course
 A proper works cited page. SAA style is preferred and a citation guide is posted to UMLearn.
