One aspect of access control is reliable person recognition. While this form of access control is considered reliable in many ways, it’s not always accurate. Security firms of course are not excluded from some of the problems associated with this technology. Biometrics, recognition based on distinctive personal traits, has the potential to become an irreplaceable part of many identification systems. While successful in some markets, the biometrics technology has not yet delivered its promise of foolproof automatic human recognition. With the availability of inexpensive biometric sensors and computing power, it is becoming increasingly clear that broader usage of biometric technologies is being stymied by our lack of understanding of some fundamental issues.
With that said, please answer the following questions:
1.) What are some of the fundamental issues surrounding the use of biometric sensors?
2.) How does one accurately and efficiently represent and recognize biometric patterns?
*Outside sources to support your reasons are acceptable too. Please submit an initial discussion response to these question(s) and reply to your classmate’s threads. In order to respond to this question, you must create a thread. Please respond to these questions and post a response to at least two of your classmates. Your responses to each of these questions should be between 200-300 words
