Hi,
I have a methodology chapter that needs to be revised by a writer with high skills in research methods. This chapter is the third chapter of my dissertation. So, it needs a writer with at least a Ph.D. and research method skills to be able to revise it. The chapter is now entirely written. However, it needs to be revised, edited, and proofread, describing the specific methods I use for my dissertation. The chapter is now 24 pages. However, it should be revised and be only 17 pages. Please check my professor’s feedback and adjust it accordingly.
Below is my recent professors’ feedback on it.
this is the recent feedback :
1- (This still reads like a primer on research methods. There is no need to discuss the philosophical rationales or historical origins of different research methodologies. All that is needed, in my opinion, is a concise descriiption of the specific methods you use for your dissertation.
Your chapter contains the statement, “Attrition is an old and popular counter-insurgency war strategy.” Attrition and counter-insurgency are two different strategies, one is not a form of the other.
Since your dissertation topic is inherently about decision making in government, I recommend looking at Graham Allison’s models of bureaucratic bargaining, etc.)
Their Old feedbacks:
2- I Wanted to make sure that you are not working under the mistaken assumption that the research question, research methodology, literature review, etc. need to be broken out into separate chapters. In many dissertations, they are all included in the first chapter. Research methodology, for example, is often discussed in just a few paragraphs.
Much of the draft can be condensed into a few paragraphs. I recommend using online tutoring for help with the revision process.
Before revising and editing my chapter, please read the first and second chapter plus the my dissertation proposal to take a clear idea about my topic..
Thank you.
