Select one prominent evaluation theorist such as Campbell, Chelimsky, Chen, Chronbach, Cousins, Fetterman, Greene, Guba & Lincoln, House, King, Lipsey, Mertens, Patton, Preskill, Rossi, Scriven, Stake, Weiss, or Wholey, and review his or her key writings and work.
Use the attached diagram to start your explorations. Review at least five articles and/or books by them as well as two critical articles about their work by others. Key points for your paper include the following:

2. How does this theorist distinguish his or her theory or concepts from other evaluators?
3. What relevance does his or her theory have for practice?
4. Does this theorist’s theory apply to your particular practice area?
5. Would you use this theory for your evaluation plan? Why or why not?

Assignment 2: Marking Guide:

2. Content and quality (at least five articles, two critics, and other references, writing or presentation style, required elements, contents, accuracy, originality of thought) (9 marks)
3. Understanding and application of course concepts (Interpretation of theorist’s work, demonstrated understanding of course material, links between theorist’s approach and work covered in class (8 marks) 4. Discussion/interpretation/making meaning (critical orientation, ability to integrate theory and practice, discovery of tacit meaning, relevance for practice/application in work setting) (10 marks)
