Examine the Core Treaties and the Universal Instruments on the UN webpage. Write a 300-500 word post reflecting critically on the body of international law. What is the content of the body of rights enumerated? What do you think about the mechanisms for monitoring and enforcement? What surprises you? Troubles you? Inspires you? You may focus on a few specific instruments such as Conventions, Declarations, or Committees (it would be impossible to address everything), but be sure to demonstrate that you’ve spent some time getting the lay of the land overall.
