For this task you will assume you are a consultant hired by a multinational company that needs to provide a universal training handbook for new employees to prepare them to be culturally competent.
Your handbook should include the following:
Definition of cultural competence and cultural sensitivity
Discussion of cultural identity, values, and worldview
Provide at least two examples of communication styles and how these show up in the workplace
Include a discussion of how to create an inclusive and culturally-sensitive workplace
Address the topics of prejudice and stereotypes
Explain acculturation and how acculturation might impact employees
Conclude with a list of at least 5 resources that could be used to assist employees in becoming more culturally competent.
Support your handbook with at least five references from peer-reviewed articles published in the last five years. These are in addition to the list of resources required.
