Assignment Objective This assignment aims to help the students to understand a real-world scenario concerning communication and email systems. The students will be exposed to a wide range of messaging systems. This provides students with the flexibility and confidence to deal with a variety of tasks related to email systems and managing recipients of the email system. The Lab assignment is also focused on live communication and its impact on the working practice of the organization. The students would gain the required skills to enhance the mobility of the enterprises they would be working soon. The assessment tests the overall understanding of enterprise mobility concepts and their pragmatic implementation in different organizational scenarios.
Assignment Tasks
Task 1:
Deploy an open-source mail communication server using a virtual environment with at least one mail server and two clients. The deployment of the mail server should be explained and demonstrated using snapshots and a practical model for that needs to be available in the lab. This task requires stepwise configuration of a mail communication server using an open-source mail communication server and operating system. Every command and step used in the configuration should be fully explained with duly acknowledged sources of information.

As an instant messaging administrator suggest an open-source private instant messaging server that can be used in enterprises to enhance mobility and productivity. The instant messaging server should be completely explained with its characteristics, features, various modes of communication available, and deployment steps with a detailed explanation and use of snapshots wherever applicable. Reflect on the impact of implementing instant messaging on the working practice of the enterprises with suitable points.
