The topic question for this is as follows:
We have looked at two different theories about the relationship between technology and society: Technological Determinism (TD) and the Social Construction of Technology (SCOT). What do we gain in our perspective on media history by blending technological determinism and the social construction of technology, rather than just using one theory or the other on its own? Answer with specific reference to a reading and example from the course.
