I am a nurse and my concerns bellow
I work in a post-acute and Rehab center. one nurse works with 20 patients. Nurses have a heavy workload and need more time to perform tasks safely, apply safe practices, or monitor patients. As a result, nurses reduce our communication with physicians and other providers. Also, nurses need more time to double-check medications.
Nurses experience stress and burnout, which can have a negative impact on their performance. Some of our nursing staff quit and retired early and changed their carrier. as a result, we have short nursing staff.
