Writing Prompt:
As everything from advances in technology to COVID-19 change what and how Americans read, the American public library must adapt if it is to serve its community in a relevant and productive manner.
Clearly present your position on the role, if any, the public library should serve as the United States moves through the third decade of the 21st century. Use evidence from credible sources (see sources below) to support your position and develop your argument.
Instructions:
1. Brainstorm and Plan:
Read through the sources linked below, as needed, in order to develop your position on the role of the public library.
Create a brief outline that clearly states your position and 3 or more main ideas that support/develop that position
Review the sources again to find evidence to support your main ideas. Use bullet points to briefly list 2-3 pieces of evidence for each main idea

Do NOT use direct quotes. ONLY paraphrase the evidence from the outside sources. Why?

4. References:
Include only the sources you used in your paper at the end of your document.
Delete any sources you did not use.
Copy and paste the sources to the end of your document
Be sure the references begin at the top of a new page.
