Following his death, the local health department discovered 170 jars of home canned-food from the house of the disease. Upon investigation, they confirmed food poisoning after consumption of the canned food as the cause of death and urged people to follow proper canning guidelines.
Answer the following questions based on this scenario: Describe what type of organism could be responsible for a foodborne illness associated with canned food?
